Wedding ceremonies take place from around 6pm to 6.15pm, after the museum has closed to the public. This allows arrangements to be made for private areas to be closed off, creating a more intimate atmosphere for your ceremony.
There are two particularly lovely options to consider, depending on the experience you want to create.
The private Bird Cage: intimate and uninterrupted
If privacy is your priority, the Bird Cage offers a beautiful option for your ceremony.
With the surrounding areas closed off for your celebration, it’s possible to create a more secluded setting where you can focus entirely on each other, without the interruptions of other visitors.
It’s ideal for couples who want a quieter, more personal experience, whether you’re eloping just the two of you or sharing your vows with a small group of family and friends.
The terrace: a spectacular Lanzarote backdrop
For couples who love the atmosphere of Lagomar and want to make the most of its iconic scenery, the terrace is another stunning option.
Imagine exchanging your vows surrounded by the dramatic cave walls, with the lagoon providing an unforgettable backdrop. The architecture and natural landscape do all the work, creating a setting that feels distinctly Lanzarote.
There is one important difference to consider: while the museum closes to visitors before the ceremony, the Lagomar restaurant and bar remain open to the public. The terrace therefore offers a different atmosphere from the fully private Bird Cage area.
Neither option is better than the other. It simply comes down to the kind of experience you want for your wedding day.
