Intimate Family Elopement in Lanzarote – A Rooftop Wedding for Three

Not every couple dreams of a large traditional wedding.
For some, the idea of hundreds of guests, strict timelines and months of pressure simply does not feel right. More and more couples are choosing intimate weddings abroad that focus on what truly matters to them — love, connection and creating memories together.
This beautiful Lanzarote elopement was the perfect example of that.

A Quiet Legal Marriage Before Their Destination Wedding
Before travelling to Lanzarote, this couple quietly completed the legal side of their marriage back home. Without stress or attention, they were free to arrive on the island and focus entirely on celebrating together as a family.
Instead of planning a large wedding day around other people’s expectations, they chose something much more personal.
Just the three of them.
A Relaxed Villa Wedding in Lanzarote
Their family holiday villa became the perfect setting for the morning of the ceremony. The bride enjoyed having her hair professionally styled by @stylingbyaislinglanzarote_ in the comfort and privacy of the villa, creating a calm and relaxed start to the day.
There was no rushing between venues, no crowded bridal suite and no complicated schedule.
Just excitement, emotion and quiet moments together.
An Intimate Rooftop Terrace Ceremony
Their ceremony took place on the beautiful rooftop terrace of Sandos Papagayo Hotel with stunning Lanzarote views surrounding them.
With only their little one by their side, the atmosphere felt incredibly emotional and authentic. Every word spoken during the ceremony truly mattered because the day was completely centred around them and their story.
As a celebrant in Lanzarote, these are often the ceremonies that stay with me the most. Small in size, but enormous in meaning.
Romantic Beach Photos with Baby Included
After the ceremony, we headed to the beach with photographer Steve for a relaxed photo session.
Some moments were romantic and intimate, while others were beautifully real and full of family warmth.
Those natural moments are often the memories couples treasure most.
At one point, while mummy and daddy had a few photographs together, I was lucky enough to enjoy a quick cuddle with their gorgeous little one.
A Private Chef Experience Back at the Villa
To end their wedding day, they returned to their villa where a private chef prepared a special dinner just for them. @Events and catering solutions lanzarote.
Once baby was asleep, they could finally sit together with a quiet drink on the balcony, reflecting on the incredible day they had created together.
No stress.
No performance.
No expectations.
Just a wedding day designed entirely around what made them happy.
Your Wedding, Your Way
One of the things I love most about destination weddings in Lanzarote is that couples often give themselves permission to forget the “rules” they thought weddings had to follow.
An elopement or intimate wedding does not make your marriage any less meaningful. In many ways, it can make it feel even more personal, emotional and memorable.
Whether you dream of:
* a villa wedding in Lanzarote,
* a rooftop terrace ceremony,
* a beach elopement,
* or a small family wedding abroad,
your day should reflect you.
